چکیده

Background: Bullous pemphigoid (BP) is an antibody-mediated blistering disease predominantly affecting the elderly. Corticosteroids are mainstay of treatment but they have many side effects. Therefore, a novel highly necessary.. Objective: To explore effects autoantibodies on keratinocytes and to examine therapeutic potential agent, diacerein. Methods: Cultured HaCaT cells were treated with purified from patients BP measure production cytokines alteration cell surface BP180. The diacerein examined in thisin vitro system. An open-label, randomized, phase 2, proof-of-concept trial compared topical 1% ointment clobetasol for their efficacy tolerability mild-to-moderate (NCT 03286582). Results: IL-18 level culture supernatant increased after antibodies, which was inhibited by Autoantibody-induced BP180 depletion cultured surfaces reversed dose-dependent manner. occurred through its interaction expression protein kinase C. Ten eligible randomized 1:1 into 2 groups. Topical well tolerated reduced clinical symptoms comparable those clobetasol. Conclusion: Diacerein autoantibody-mediated showed vivo. candidate BP.

Azathioprine in treatment of bullous pemphigoid.

Azathioprine was given to 11 patients with pemphigoid who had been on long-term maintenance therapy with prednisone or prednisolone. In nine of these prednisone therapy was withdrawn and all were maintained symptom-free on azathioprine alone, while in two the dose of prednisone was considerably reduced. One patient who had never received corticosteroids was controlled by azathioprine alone duri...

Although pharmacokinetic studies have shown suboptimal efficacy and similar incidence and severity of adverse effects when vismodegib, 150 mg, was used once weekly or 3 times weekly, no studies to our knowledge have inve...

Efficacy and safety of azathioprine and dapsone as an adjuvant in the treatment of bullous pemphigoid.

BACKGROUND Bullous pemphigoid is a chronic, blistering and autoimmune disease, common in old age. The treatment usually includes systemic steroids, however, these cause high morbidity rates, and then different products that function as adjuvants have been tried. At present, there are no studies to determine which adjuvant offers a better efficacy and safety profile. METHODS We performed a ret...
